Christian Murguia

Christian was born in Mexico City. He studied film at the New York Film Academy in Manhattan; still photography with renowned Mexican photographer, Saul Serrano, at the Centro Cultural/Arte Contemporaneo in Mexico City; and rounded off his training, studying directing for three years at the London International Film School.

During those years, he had the opportunity to work in the production of various documentaries and short films in Asia and Europe.

Those years outside of Mexico helped him broaden his vision of the reality in his country. He thinks experience acts as a filter and enriches his vision as a director, and that education in the classroom needs to be completed with experience in the outer world, on the streets.

His style is a sum of realism and a high sense of aesthetics when turning reality into fiction, where the director and his team take care of every detail in order to create magic.

A firm believer in success through teamwork, he tries to collaborate with the same people in order to establish a symbiosis, which is reflected in his high quality work.

During his career he has had the opportunity to work with clients and agencies as important as Coca-Cola Company, General Motors, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Danone, Gruma, McCann Erickson, JWT, Publicis, Leo Burnett, and Ogilvy among others.

He has received awards in various festivals such as Círculo Creativo, The New York Film Festival, London Advertising Festival, and Ojo de Iberoamerica.
